Any one do this….

My ol man use to put Scallions in a glass of ice water…then Pat the end of the scallion in some salt.,and eat them with dinnah. Anyone do this . So here’s to yah Pops RIP.

Change the scallions for rhubarb and I am all over it.

I like raw veggies, especially baby asparagus or young zucchini cut into wedges

We call those green onions around here and I’ve ate them like that forever.

Never tried the ice water trick.

Ate green onions before.

I found salt sticks to them quite well without the water.

There is no other way!

Are those the same things called ramps on here?

They’re the onion soon after they first start growing. Ramps are leeks at about the same growth stage. I like green onions sliced up in a salad. If I’m crazing salt I sprinkle it on my finger after licking it. Then I lick it again.
