Mike Marchewka
I always enjoy reading Mike's column in the FTA Magazine. He has a style of writing that makes you think you are standing next to whatever event he is writing about and watching it unfold. He mentions in the May issue that he has been writing for the magazine for over 30 years. Don't know how he keeps his columns fresh and new, but he does. Keep up the good work, Mike.

I was the editor of the magazine when Mike started in 1997 I believe it was. He may have submitted some articles prior to that but I don't remember any.
He's been a great asset to the FTA magazine for a long time.
I've seen his informative writings in various trapping publications through the years...
Started corresponding with him about varmint and crow hunting back in the 80's, and still
read his articles 'til this day.
Top notch guy!

Thanks guys, much appreciated compliments. Like I joke about to my wife, I’m just glad someone is reading my stuff. Lol And Gerald I’m running out of stuff to write about...lol
Bernie, I wrote for the Furtaker back when Bill and Dee Jackson ran the magazine. Boys we are getting old.
It amazes me how much behind the scenes work our officers past and present in FTA, NTA and other sportsmen organizations have accomplished. Look at the great work Paul has done for trappers with this forum. We trappers are lucky to have been around these type of people who are as passionate as we are.

Re: Mike Marchewka - 05/21/22 10:31 PM
Yep, always enjoyed Mike's writing.
Not to hi-jack the post, but what was the name of the writing that had a French name... I think he wrote for a couple different mags. He was at the 2013 NTA get together in Findlay.
I am getting old and can't keep track of anybody. It is hard to even remember where I am at when I am there... Not really, just about sometimes it feels like it.

Some guys just make you feel comfortable talking to them. Mike has given a great deal to trappers and when you do talk to him you realize you are talking to someone that is in the Trapper's Corner. I consider him a pillar of our cause.

TTT for Mike!
A friend of mind use to say " Talking is easy doing is hard "Well Mike has proven .over the years that talking about the value and benefits of trapping is easy . And more important he has lived up to his words by doing what he says he will do
Proud to call Mike a friend of many years, and second what Bob said!
