Its been above 5 for awhile here in Vegas. Not much difference between diesel and gas, but my diesel gets 25mpg so I tell my wife I'm still winning

Made a little over a week long loop from NC to NE and KS and back home, passing through several states. The highest I saw was $4.89 in the communist state of IL and the lowest was $3.85 in either NE or KS (do not remember which) for the regular 10% ethanol. I paid in the $3.90 to $4.39 range for the 10% grade.

Unfortunately, it will have a huge impact on the convention attendance this summer IMO.

spending a day next week with a neighbor rancher who has been making his own diesel fuel. He has been doing it for 7 years and sounds like it might be worth while. He uses waste cooking oil from restaurants and also rendered animal fats. I have been there before and seems like a simple process. One thing about high fuel prices people get creative and come up with new alternatives and ideas.

I just have to know where all the oil from the pipeline is going .
I understand Japan and the eastern countries , including China .

I was thrilled today -- only paid 4.84 -- had to drive 100 miles one way to do it, but I was driving that way anyway. Good thing I was driving dad's truck (older toyota) it avg 22 mpg with about 700 lbs of lambs.

BTW -- I think i got this farmin thing down -- went to the bank and bought 1000$ worth of pennies and threw them on the ground today -- I didn't even try to pick any of them up. UREA 1050 per ton.

when i lived in alaska, the oil went to valdeze, shipped to seattle, processed and put back on the ship. then to japan.
