Bird I.D.- It Quacks like a Robin?

This is a terrible pic I took from my I-Phone when cutting grass - I’ve seen this guy at the lake in NW Wisconsin a few times. Hanging with another Robin and exhibits Robin like behavior. Is it a partial albino Robin or another species?

Saw one 40 years on a golf course. It hung around all summer. The robin was all white except for its wings, which were a normal color.

Neat pic. Another color phase for a robin?

Piebald, we’ve had robins and grackles show up that were piebald.

Yep seen a few here and there, for some reason there seem to be an increase in odd color animals and birds the last few years, or maybe I am just paying more attention

It's hard to tell from the picture. It could be a robin color mutation, but it also resembles a male Eastern towhee.

Tail is too short, Keith....it looks to have kept that male dark robin head tone, though .

Towhees are gorgeous, with their red eyes. I have the western here.

Keith

no the feet go straight down, where as Towhee's have slanted forward feet
was there a eye ring like on Robins ?
Aztec Thrushes have a lot of white on the wings and tails, but way out of the way for your location

The bird appears to be a leucistic ("piebald") Robin.

I’ll try to get some better pictures over Memorial Day Weekend- if he/she is still hanging around

Saw a flock of turkeys in a pasture in early April. A hen was white with brown tail feathers, a mottled body, and some brown on her wings. She was in the middle of about 25 turkeys, all feeding in a cow pasture.

Except for May and June, I see this flock almost daily.

Keith

Aren't Towhees much smaller than Robins? Also they act alot different than a Robin. In my opinion.

With its black head I would say I would say maybe it is a melanistic phase, piebald Robin.

Robin. Friends had a white bellied Robin return for 5 summers. They hand raised it after they found it in the yard . It would land on the porch railing wanting some treats.
