What a Suck Day….

We had to put our Mr Handome ..aka Jack …down yesterday . My sons dog since he was 19…..Jack was 12…My sons a mess,and so am I.. This doesn’t get any easier.

They always give the best of themselves to us.

Definitely a bad day. My last good one I lost someone hit with a car I'm guessing on purpose because in 2 weeks 4 dogs got hit on my road in 1/2 a mile. It was in August and the ground was hard as a rock so I drove to town and rented a 580 case backhoe and drove the backhoe home to dig his grave.

Man it stinks to loose a good dog. My German Shephard is getting old and sometimes had some pain getting around. I feel for your family.

Sorry for your loss. Beautiful dog and I am sure you have a lot of great memories. Good dogs are amazing

Sorry for your loss. Difficult days indeed.

Very sorry for your loss Nessie, it about killed me when I had to have my last one put down and Zip is 11 1/2 so he too is getting close to the end. Just remember all the good times and how much he loved being a part of your family. They just don't live long enough.

I feel for you. It has been three years and I still am not over losing mine.

It's heartbreaking. It's been 3 months since we lost our lab and I look for her every day. So sorry.

Sorry too hear that. It’s never easy

That is sad.
Just recently we were admiring him.

We have lost many old labs in 40 years.
They have made life worth living.
Our last were two brothers just shy of 15.

Rejoice in your memories and enjoy those other dogs too.

Nessy, when my Luke Dawg passed it affected the entire neighborhood. It’s been my only complaint with God that he didn’t allow dogs to live as long as humans. I never got another Lab after he passed, just couldn’t bring myself to attempt to replace him. I truly understand what you and your son are going through. Thoughts and prayers heading your way.

It is a hard thing, but sometimes you have to do what is best for the dog, even if it's not best for you. I put my dog down on 22 Sept last fall. I think of him every day still. He was 16 years and 22 days. I got him at five weeks.

He was indeed Mr. Handsome! Remember that thumping tail and his smile, till you meet again.

I know your pain way too many times. Feel for you. Wish I had some words of wisdom but I don't. Just remember all the good times.

They leave such a big hole when they're gone. It's okay to cry. Been there.

It may suck for you Nessy but not for a pup who’s again found new legs, sharp eyes, skies full of birds, and the patience to wait for you.

Nice looking dog for sure. No b.s. a dog is a mans best friend. I often think of the lab I had in high school some 40 years ago. He was the best thing I had in those days for sure. Sorry for your loss.

Messy, Sorry to hear. We had to put are sons black lab down last Oct. We have two other labs, But still miss her.

The loss you are feeling right now is the price you pay for having him in your life. Dogs don't cost us money. They cost us tears when they pass and the more you hurt means the more he was worth.

It's a heavy price, but a price worth paying. My condolences on his passing.

this is way i refuse to get another dog , you know its going to happen , and yes it sucks !!!!!!!!

I know your pain. Sorry for your loss. My best friend died three years ago and I still miss him. I love dogs.

Just had 1 of those days myself... he loved to ride... lived to be almost 17. I had a funeral home get him cremated and he's still riding...
I've got a 6 month old following in his footsteps...

It doesn't matter, large or small, dog, horse, chook , or intelligence ...we still love and miss them. We can just give them a good home and enjoy life together.

Sorry for your loss , go get another pooch and you'll be feeling better in no time. Not that getting a new pet will replace your old one but to create new memories with the new one.
