Gas is officially 5 bucks per gallon in central il

I’m not sure what gas prices are in your neck of the woods,,, but gas was 4.80 per gallon as of 11 am central standard time today,,, in south central Illinois,,, I was informed that at 1230 pm central standard time today,,, that it’s now 5.09. A 30 cent jump in an hour. This will probably kill any prospect of even trying to run a few traps this fall if prices don’t retract. I simply cannot do it. My rent got raised as well. Along with utilities,,,, it’s a sad reality

You ain’t seen the worst of it yet foxkidd. Suppose to keep getting higher all summer. Can you say 7-8 dollars by September. Can’t hardly wait to see how high propane and heating oil gets this winter if you thought last winter was high. Let’s go Brandon!!

What concerns me is when things go up will they ever come down. The impact of high fuel prices has impacted EVERYTHING, will it stay is the big question?

Been 5 bucks+ here for a week. I can cross the river and get it for 4.80 or so. Further south at Chester you can cross into MO. and get it for 4.09. Not worth that 30 minute drive, except I would feel better not giving our fat Lying Gov. another red cent of my money in taxes.

Diesels been over 6 bucks for awhile here, mid 6 dollar range alot of places.

and tonight it will be $ 5.49

It just hit $4.99.9 here yesterday. It jumped from $4.59.9 to $4.79.9 after 3 days. Now $4.99.9 all in a matter of a week.

How do all the stations all jump up within a few hours of each other? Sounds like to me a conspiracy and price gouging by the middle men (Distributors).

I could not believe it, when I went to town today for mower gas the local convienice store did not jack up the price, it is holding at $4.79 for the time being.

I just got some diesel for the tractor. Now I am wondering f I can convert that engine to run on bourbon as not long now and its going to be cheaper than diesel . Between filling the truck and some diesel for the tractor I left 165 bucks at the gas station just now. I think the BP down the road is hiring a loan advisor.

It seems the economy is still pretty good and things are booming here in central Iowa, but it's not sustainable with these gas prices coupled with inflation.

It isn't $5.00 where I normally get gas yet, it was only $4.99.9

On the way to work I saw gas at $5.069 and diesel at $6.759. I only pass two gas stations and I didn't look at the first one.
