moved back to where it used to be , always second weekend , with July 4 on Monday we decided to move it back a week

Thanks, I've gone the last two years, great time, going to miss it this year for sure, even if it would cost an arm and a leg to get there.

Admission is $10 for both days. 12 and under are free

we are getting more volunteers than every be for , should be one of our best shows

That's great to hear. Seems nowadays volunteers are getting harder and harder to find.

Part of the drive to help get volunteers, UP Trappers Association decided to send out a volunteer sign up form to every member. We included a stamped envelope to return the form. Yes, it cost money but it seems to have helped. If any trapping organization is interested in using the form, let me know. I believe all of our organizations need to share information and ideas to keep this thing going. Send me a private message with your email and I’ll send the form to you.

Is there a charge for tailgate sales?

yes 25 dollars for 10 feet

Well we are getting all set for the show as the Yoopers do it up right!
We'll be bringing our grandson as papa and grandma's roadie and we can't wait!

well moved trailer to fairgrounds yesterday and people are already here , more and more people are making a vacation out of our convention, this is great!!!, they love the U P and our weather

Lots of trailers/campers pulling in and setting up.
Vendors are lined up in several buildings and it's quite a spread.
Food vendors are starting to cook and set up too.
Demo area guys, led by Randy, are going all out.
TV and Radio spots are being aired big time.
Trapping show made the front page of the Escanaba paper.
It looks like the weather is going to be wonderful.

Should be a super, fun-filled weekend!
Actually, it already has been.
Roy Dahlgren and company run a show like a show outta be run!

Have fun up there guys. I'm going to miss being there. The date change conflicts with a buckskinner rendezvous, but I'll be there in spirit.

Another fantastic panfish dinner. A big thank you to all the individuals that made it happen year after year.

Really missed not going to show, I been to many many in a row. Lucky family was able to go for my booth. Grandkid went Mr. Junes demo so I will have to get an update when they make it home tonight. Looking forward to the Evart show in August.

I did talk to Asa tonight and will get to go visit him in the UP later this month.

Daughter sent me a pic before show started this morning. Only 2 more years and Lenon's will be 100 years - I probably will not miss that one.

I would be in trouble if I got near that Lenon display. Great lures. I have a large stash from 2014-2018 when I went on a hoarding binge and stockpiled 72 bottles of various Lenon Lures. I am down to less than half of that now. So May need to stockpile again as I am retiring in 4 years and will be broke but free to trap as much as I want.
