I just received a donation request from Lindsey Graham for Dr. Oz. just in the last hour.

I sent him back a reply stating we don't donate to Rinos or Hollywood liberals. Do not send us anymore correspondence, we will be blocking any future attempts to contact us. Told him that his day is coming up for reelection, so beware. We all know who you are now.

this sounds like they intend to include juvenile records in NICs

so that if you were a bad boy or girl before you were 18 you won't have a bright shiny clean record for your birthday.

they like their lists and are sure they can make a list that doesn't fail so much

People are somewhat cowed right now but wait until they finish weaponizing all the federal agencies/seize$ and then the large majority will kneel....those on one knee now will get down on all fours and bow.

This government is very close to putting all its resources behind the intimidation of the opposing political party/citizens who oppose them. When they come for tucker maybe people will wake up or maybe his dialogue will change after they put the thumb screws to him or his family/friends. These things are coming, mark my words.

(usa today)

Half of Republicans now support stricter gun laws, an exclusive USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll finds, a double-digit increase after a series of horrific mass shootings at schools, stores, streets and houses of worship.

The increase in GOP support – from 35% last year to 50% now – could boost the prospects for Congress to tighten federal gun laws, an effort that has failed for decades. The House is poised to pass a Democratic package of proposals this week as bipartisan negotiations on a less far-reaching compromise continue behind closed doors in the Senate.

On Capitol Hill on Wednesday, 11-year-old Miah Cerrillo is scheduled to testify at what seems sure to be a heart-breaking hearing. She is a fourth-grader who smeared herself with a classmate's blood and played dead during last month's school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that killed 19 children and two teachers.

_____________________________________________________________________

Here is what they are looking at when they switch to support these unconstitutional laws....re-election, the #1 consideration of 99% of politicians.

You're wrong Marty. They are not "coming close". They are already arresting the political opposition that speaks out. This country is starting to take political prisoners.

(fox)

Matthew McConaughey gave an emotional plea to challenge gun ownership laws during a White House press briefing on Tuesday afternoon following a private meeting with President Joe Biden.

The 52-year-old actor is a native of Uvalde, Texas, where 19 students and two teachers were killed by 18-year-old Salvador Ramos during a shooting at Robb Elementary on May 24.

McConaughey said gun ownership should be a "non-partisan" issue as he argued that "people in power have failed to act."

"We need background checks," he said from the lectern. "We need to raise the minimum age to purchase an AR-15 rifle to 21. We need a waiting period for those rifles. We need red flag laws and consequences for those who abuse them."

Even though Lindsey Graham is not my US Senator, his vote in the senate does effect me as a US citizen. So.... I emailed his office just the same and asked that he not cave into any more restrictive gun bills that are being proposed. I also mentioned that its the law-abiding citizens that suffers the consequences for the actions of those who commit gun crimes.

Below is his response:

"Due to the large volume of mail I receive, I regret that I am only able to respond personally to inquiries from South Carolinians.

As we continue our work in the 117th Congress, I look forward to supporting our troops in the War on Terror, repairing our economy and creating jobs, strengthening Social Security, lowering the tax burden on American families, and making the federal government more accountable and efficient."

You missed then trapperkeck . I did vote for Bush SR. Once. I voted for JR once too. I never voted for Romney or McCain. Voted Trump twice but he is more like the democrats of the 60's than a modern Big R man. I am not a big fan of Trump but he got people working and living was a lot more affordable. He also believes in U.S. manufacturing.

Collapse IS going to happen. Voting for communists just because they have an R after their name is still voting for a communist. Now it may be popular to say socialism and communism are two different things but it dont really matter to me. I cant abide either one. I wont be a slave. I wouldnt have been a slave 20 years ago either.

30 years ago I quit the NRA over back ground checks. I haven't changed much.

Well, on a bright note, neither of us would make good slaves anymore, due to our age. I'm not a fan of politicians, in general, but I do think we have a chance to prolong the agony by voting for Republicans. I am a registered (R), and I'm not afraid to admit it.

If my vote against people that do not hold my principles ensures that a wicked party will win, then so be it. I have conditioned myself, my family, and my little girl accordingly.
Of course, I don't want my 5 year old to go through the crap that is headed our way, but better now than when I'm dead and gone way I see it.

The Ds and Rs have totally sold the American people out. I will continue to vote, but it will be based on strict conservative constitutionalism. No politician that I see is is running on that other than Rand Paul, and I will vote for him in a second. I hope he runs as a third party.

Donna was wondering just the other day, as she was reading about baby formula shortages....

why there's never a shortage of beer, or lottery tickets, and other "non-essentials?"

I’ve drank 3 beers in the past 3 years. I wouldn’t know if there was a shortage or not.

That's why we need to repeal the 17th Amendment. Let the state Senate pick the senator. Local control representing the entire population of the state, not just the big metropolitan areas.

The difference is that the majority of democrats would ban all guns if they could. The opposite is true of the majority of republicans.
You can whine because republicans may believe we need tougher guns laws, but an entire ban is out of the question.
The same can't be said of democrats.
