Who is your favorite lead singer? David Lee Roth . Sammy Hagar .Gary Cherone. I Do like songs from each but think Sammy was the best.

I like the Diamond Dave stuff but Sammy had some good ones (usually saying that makes a few heads explode)

David Lee Roth without a doubt, his vocal style fit that band better & VH enjoyed their apex with him...As a individual singer, Sammy Hagar hands down.

Really liked Hagar with Montrose also.

Sammy ! Can’t stand the high pitch screams of Roth.

David Lee Roth was one of the absolute best front men for a rock band ever. The other 2 aren't even worthy enough to wash Diamond Dave's spandex pants.

Sammy was good , but David Lee Roth was my favorite.

I contend that Roth is the illegitimate son of BOA's Jim Dandy Mangrum.

VH had more hits with Sammy but more show with DLR.

So which AC DC frontman was best.My vote goes to Bon Scott Although Brian Johnson was a great stand in.

Rumor is that a Bon Scott wrote a number of songs for the Back in Black album, then and denies that rumor.

I think Brian actually had a better voice but Scott was a better showman.

I always translate Van Halen to Roth. I am a big fan of Sammy too, but I like him better on his own label

will say as the trend setter the group became legends with roth. No question in rock and roll history. They were marketed to society and played the marketing edge better with sammy. More hits per album etc.. But rock had changed. That is why so many bands during the 90's were able to produce the one hit wonder. Did see the group with sammy and his guitar dual with eddie was something roth could never bring. but i was a musician looking at different views of it all.

Which lead singer was my favorite? All of them...for me to pee on.
I never could stand any of that racket.
Too much, "look how loud I can scream." and "look how fast I can play a guitar." Rubbish, I say.

Well I still listen to it. Get through a few marathons every year with good old long hair rock in my ears.

Roth for sure, I won't hate on Sammy though, he did a good job as well, Hot for teacher is my favorite tune.

Roth was quite the showman! Did he get kicked out of the band because he got to thinking it was all about him??
Or did something else happen? I can't remember.

Somebodys gotta stick up for Sammy and that would be me , seen VanHagagar 6 or 7 times over the years puts on a heck of a show,
