What you eatin on tonight Mr. Paul ... beaver tips and gravy or what?
Posted By: trapperkeck

Re: Mesquite burgers - 06/15/22 01:27 AM

Ooooh! Beaver tips, now that's something I could wrap my mouth around!...Unfortunately, I settled for a Philly Style sammich made from leftover, grilled, T-bone chopped up with green peppers/onions/garlic on toasted garlic French bread with melted swiss and a home-made au-juis consisting of beef broth, Worcestershire, garlic powder and pepper. Oh, and homemade fries on the grill. It was a balmy 94 degrees here in central MN today. The news folks on the radio recommended people stay inside with air conditioning or they would risk heat stroke or death. LOL. When I lived in NE, they would have said it was a bit warm.

Sam's Club rotisserie chicken leftovers. In a motel on way to the PA convention. Beaver backstraps with peppers and onions would be great!

Savell, while it is painful for me to extend any compliment to you, I applaud you
on your culinary expertise in preparing a cheeseburger with rustled beef .
Well done, old hand.

Re: Mesquite burgers - 06/16/22 12:35 AM

Sorry savell, I hope you didn’t lose too much sleep! Any good REAL cheese will do, depends on your taste. I personally like Muenster. But you gotta get it straight from a dairy in Wisconsin, and while you’re at it get some squeaky cheese too!
Posted By: Savell

Re: Mesquite burgers - 06/16/22 12:59 AM

Thanks Zim ...I guess ... not sure if a compliment from a Wisconsin pollock with clean fingernails is somethin I should be proud of though lol

Bob.... I ain’t goin to Wisconsin for some overrated cheese lol

... and where’s MT Bowhunter with his cattle rustlin accusation or what not lol?

I am back. Been a busy day. When I was a kid and my grandparents had friends over for dinner any time one of them complemented my grandfather on the quality of the beef his response was always. "We always serve the neighbors best!" Lets just leave it at that!

Re: Mesquite burgers - 06/16/22 02:04 AM

You get some good cheese from a Wisconsin dairy it’ll make that junk you bought down at the grocery store taste like ashes in your mouth savell!

... lol ... could get a man kilt down here .. but I might steal that sayin anyway MT

... Bob .. I don’t even usually put cheese on a burger... just one of those things you do if it happens to be there...as a matter of business .. If cheese is the star of any meal... it’s a bad meal lol

Re: Mesquite burgers - 06/16/22 03:05 AM

Us Yankees can’t wait 1/2 for fancy wood to make coals to cook a burger…just not in the DNA up here. Webah gas grill…5 minute heat up and 3 minutes a side for a burger and we’re done !
