Found this fish off a large riffle-some say its a long nosed Gar,others a Paddle Fish

Paddlefish. There are many in Western PA. The allegheny & ohio rivers have them. They are protected in PA and must be released if caught

Found it dead-Allegheny River-maybe someone caught and released it. Good info patrapperbuster and all !

I ate some pickled paddlefish once. Fun to say but not good to eat.

I love the people that say they are great eating. It must be to justify the trip. I gave up snagging paddle fish once I ate one. I can drink beer at home.

The first package was really good. The second and there on, not good at all. I suspect that the meat oxidizes in the freezer.
