Here's a new one. Does it work? Has anyone tried this? This guy seems a bit "lite in the loafers" to be a farmer, I figured he would just wack them with his purse. grin Just say'in wink He sure is upset with dollar tree though....LOL...

If that's toxic then I'm a ghost.

Well maybe jiffy mix is.

I eat cornbread and swig soda regularly.

LOL The local DG went up over a dollar higher on a lot of things.
Don't know , seems it could , similar to using borax and sugar , mixed together with just enough water to get the ingredients to stick together.
Put it on an ant hill , and a week later all ants are dead.
The sugar is what they want , and the borax sticks to it.
The borax dries out the eggs, larva, and the ants themselves .

Cornmeal by itself takes out ants. Apparently they csnt digest it but they try.

I have been using powdered Borax and powdered sugar for over 20 years.
Put it in a jar and shake it up and dump some out where needed.
I don't know if it kills more than ants.
But it sure wipes out an ant colony quickly.

I like using simple ingrediants for pest control. I do use the borax and sugar for ants. My go to for mice chipmunks and voles, is cracked corn / cornmeal and dry powdered Portland Cement. The old man used the recipe, of 1 cup of cornmeal / cracked corn to 1/2 cup cement powder. Put it in foil pie plates. Rodents eat the mix, lick it off the paws, then dry up and die. Old man said they dried up and never stink. Also claimed they never get immune to the cement like they do commercial poison's. Not sure if thats science or what, perhaps the lime in the cement or what. I do know it works. I always exclude all domestic animals from any rodent killing concoction or poison.

My grandpa would pour coke in pie pans in the corn crib to kill mice and rats. My grandma didn't want the kids to drink coke, she reasoned if it killed rats then it must be poison. We tried to convince her rats couldn't belch, but her mind was made up.
