There's a lot of escaped and hybrid mandarin ducks around now, that look similar to wood ducks too.

I don't really know my ducks as I don't hunt them. This is a Small female with 5 little ones in a little beaver pond I drive by going to work I can't figure out where they nested as I drained the pond about 4 weeks ago and then blocked it off again with the road.
