Tough job above the Artic Circle

Tough job above the Artic Circle - 06/28/22 03:33 AM

Our daughter Is up by Prudhoe Bay doing bear research.
They are replacing collars on 18 bears as they find them and adding some new ones as they see them.

She tells me the bears like to den up under the drilling platforms and this Is causing bear problems with workers. So the collars their using give off a signal when they cross senors that surround the drilling rigs. So this will alert the workers there Is a bear In the area.
