According to the latest U.S. Census data, 99.5 percent of children under age 18 in a coupled household lived with an opposite-sex couple.

But within that remaining half-percent, there was a dominant trend. Four in five children, or 79 percent, living with a same-sex couple are doing so with two female parents. And three states – Maine, Massachusetts and Washington, along with the District of Columbia – have a significantly greater share of these couples than the national average.

At the other end of the statistical scale, there are 11 states with significantly lower percentages of children living with parents in a same-sex relationship. These are: Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wyoming.

Good statistical info...which begs the question... Why is .05% of the US population able to control such a large amount of our time...media? Personally, I am tired of it. If you want to live a certain way that is fine with me....but don’t shove it every ones faces!

Time to dox the media superstars....protest at their homes, confront them as they eat out with their families...

After a drive down Massachusetts street in Lawrence its hard to believe KS isnt high on the list of same sex couples raising a child.

You are dreaming if you think that it doesn't affect your life, and are certain doesn't affect the OP's life.

We are not upset about what they are doing. Couldn't care less about what they put where, with who.
And we are not talking about ALL of the .05%, it's probably just a small subset of that group.

Are upset with how this small subset wants extra, special, or more rights than anybody else. They have the right to do anything they want if they don't get their way. The ends always justify the means. They are completely ignorant of the fact that their rights end, where others begin. (their right to protest/free speech ends where others property rights begin)
They have completely bastardized the conversations to the point that if we disagree with them on anything we are an "ist". (racist, sexist) This label delegitimizes any thing we say or object to, and allows them to be bung holes and above any criticism. Cannot be judged by any legal, moral, or behavior criteria because that would be "phobia".

Pretty petty and thin skinned too. If we had a "Heterosexual Pride" month they would go bat guano crazy.
If we had a "White Christian Heterosexual Pride Month".....

Lol! I'd bet a majority of those aren't KS residents.

It most definitely affects all of us.

Or, another way to look it is, why should such a small percentage of people get the government to dictate the way things should be?

It's like men who claim they feel like a woman so they should be allowed to compete in women's sports. A very small percentage agree with this way of thinking. Yet, many schools feel they are forced to allow it.
