Who has left Verizon and for whom?

I'm considering T mobile ...had them before and left

But I've heard they're much improved now?

Verizon is about our only option out here. No other companies get decent service anywhere but right in town.

I use straight talk . They use Verizon towers . $40 month

Yes, Verizon is crazy, You never know what your bill will be, My wife switched to consumer cellular, same number & new phone for 35.00 month, It has not changed yet.

Switched from Verizon to AT&T for better cell service at my camp. Price is not much better but the cell service is a little better in the areas I need it.

You will not be happy with T Mobile, they have so many large gaps in service area all across Minnesota. They say their service is a lot better now but it's still horrible. You get off a major highway and you're not going to be connected in most areas of the state.

All my kids and son in law are on my Verizon plan, 7 lines. After tax it comes out to like 45 dollars a line with the group discount. That is not counting phone payment.

Not so in this part of the state. I have outstanding coverage with T Mobile. I get service in many areas that my coworkers don't. Get into the valley's around here and my service is strong. Very rare to hit dead spots. For 3 lines our bill is $116 a month no phone payments, and phon insurance.

I had Verizon years ago. Expensive , had dead spots.
Switched over to this :

Disregard the 20gig high speed , now 40gig high speed. Unlimited slower speed after 40gigs.

Cheaper , no dead spots.

You may not know this but Verizon acquired tracfone, straight talk and several other pre-paid cell companies, I think it was 2020 or 2021. I believe that part of the agreement was the verizon would not change the pricing or service for 3 years.

I have Verizon and my State phone is ATT both seem to work the same here I might look into moving to ATT soon Verizon plays a lot of games.

Switched to T Mobile about 3 months ago. Not because of Verizon's service but because the local service person was an absolute crook, liar, very dishonest.

I have a Trac fone, was 99 bucks a year but this year its 109. Makes calls and texts

I still have a flip phone I got from my Mom and Dad when they passed. I buy those $25 a month unlimited calls / Text phone cards at the Walmart. I don't text, so I don't need that option.

Yeah,,,,I just have a flip phone, Never wanted anything more. Unlimited Talk and text anywhere in the country for 29 bucks a month.
If I want a computer I can walk in the house and use the one I'm staring at now.
My grandsons walk around like zombies with their smartphone in their hand. They'll fiddle with them while they're eating dinner. Drives me nuts.

All the conservative talk guys I listen to advertise for PureTalk mobile. The owner is a veteran.

Switched my family to T Mobile from Verizon. Saved a lot of money on our plan. Service is about equal, maybe a little worse than Verizon. But I’ll call back a dropped call to save about 1/3 on my bill!

I've bounced around over the years. Had US cellular (not sure if they are still in business?) then went to Verizon, changed to a local company twenty years ago when I moved here, good service (ran on Verizon towers out of the local area) but horrid customer service. Switched to Singular when they put up a tower where I could get service at my house (was no service previously, I had a directional antennae like the old TV antennaes and a bag phone, when they discontinued those I had no service at home) which then sold out to AT&T, there service was not as good as the Verizon frequency companies but was what had service at my house. After their customer service jerked me around and screwed everything up while I was out of town so I didn't have ANY use of my phone for three weeks I switched to Verizon, the local company had put a tower up with service to my house that Verizon runs on. Verizon has the best service in the most areas out west, unfortunately many of the local towers are by the local company and run 1x service still, which Verizon is not only discontinuing, but doesn't sell phones that will run on it, so if you buy a new phone from Verizon you are relegated back to about the same coverage as we had 20 years ago. My current phone says it works on 1x, and will show I have good service, but won't actually work unless I have 4G. I don't even pack it (works off wifi at my house, but has a hesitation talking on wifi) unless I am going on a trip out of state or to a major town, because it doesn't have service anywhere rural locally.

I would attempt to talk to people in the area you plan on using it with the various services and see what they get. All the companies claim they have service but they will all lie. Also check what type of service is available before buying a new phone, many of the new phones are LTE only and don't get service in rural areas.

I pay Verizon 109 per month for 3gs of data. If I go over it's another $15. I'm ready to throw it in the river.

From my understanding (I'm not real technically literate) LTE is a fancy way of saying 4G and 5G service only.
