just can't make it this time, near 6 buck a gallon fuel and the stuff going on with my health.
was wondering who is keeping my company

Cotton, we saw regular gas as low as 3.54 in Ohio on the way up. Was more in WV but most in the 3.70 range in Ohio. Did not pay attention to diesel since I burn gas.

I fit that description! Wish I was, but it's a good thing I didn't plan on it, as the wife ended up in the hospital this morning. Would have had to cancel if I had planned it! Got some kind of infection going on, so we'll see where this goes!

Thanks Danny, so do I. Foot and leg all swelled up and foot red and hot. Tried to get her to the doc yesterday, but they put her off till today. Looks like it was getting worse fast!

I would have liked to go, but it just didn't work for me this year.

Only started trapping 3 years ago and never heard of NTA till this year, sadly unable to make it to Lima this year. An almost 15-hour drive is not doable for me this year. Maybe next year though.

1,700 miles for me is a bit too far.

1,971 miles is a little far for me. Wish we could get a big convention within a few hours of me, I would love to attend

Was gonna go, but have 3 good paying nuisance trapping jobs underway.

Plus, the dang gas prices are another good excuse to stay home.

I will make the Georgia convention in September.

We're not. We'd thought of it but never really made plans to. Which is good as I just got back Sunday from an unexpected trip to NY to bury my little brother. Wouldn't have been able to afford both with these ridiculous prices nowadays.

I'm working, finishing up my last week before retirement kicks in.

13 hour ride ..780 miles … and no naked wimmen…count me out.

Unfortunately, we can't make them all. Christine really wanted to go and connect; but, with the price of gas and planning on attending Coyote Days in a couple of weeks,. Funds don't go as far as they used to.

Not going to make this one. Railroad changed its attendance policy and we are only allowed 1 day off per month that we are not “on call”. Saving vacation time for trapping season. Hope everyone has a good time in Lima!

I had planned on coming, booked the hotel and everything. I've been helping a buddy of mine get started on his house and we are going to lay block on the foundation this weekend. He's helped me out a lot so it felt wrong to skip out on him to go to a trapping convention

As much as I want to go, the 4 hour ride would cripple me. I'm going through physical therapy for a sciatica problem. Hopefully I'm healed for Evart next month.
