Wife has got COVID!

My lovely wife woke up yesterday sneezing and coughing. This morning she said she felt really bad. So I gave her the home test. Positive, called our family physician he said go to ER so they could confirm and start her on paxlovid. Being a type 1 diabetic for 42 years he wanted her to get started right away . She’s feeling better tonight and I hope I don’t get down Hoping my 20 years working in sewer plant has my immune system ready for this moment . If you get a moment please say a prayer for her .

Ya that vax is the bomb. My niece has had every vax and booster and she's had it 3 times.
I just got over it last week. Worst part was not being able to swallow. Just tired other than that.

But works in hospital, so maybe to be expected?

Both my parents had, 85&77. My wife has had like 3-4 times. All my kids and DIL and future DIL had it. This “version” is mild compared to the first one we had. Prayers for your wife. My parents Drs started them on Hydroxichloroquine and Ivermectin. Don’t know why one got one drug and the other a different drug but they both felt great in 24hrs.

I just got over it and I know what she's going through praying for her.

Know three or four people who have had it in last two weeks. Latest version here is very short lived. Fever and chills, feel terrible and weak. Lasts a day or two.

Odd the way it affects people so differently. Some people die from it, others barely get the sniffles.

Just getting over what I expect was my second round of 'vid. Fever, weakness, headaches, a persistent cough, and dizzyness/loss of balance and clarity. Everything's gone except for the cough. Worst problems lasted about three days for me. Not treated other than drinking some Ninxa (sp?) twice a day.

Hopefully she will be ok. I just went thru the same thing with my wife! She is back to feeling good now.

About everyone I know has had it. 95% said it was just a cold with a round of a few super tired days (and exactly what I experienced).

The 70 year old neighbor lady had it 2 weeks ago. She sat around for a week is all.

My Dad (83) had cold like symptoms only as well.

I wouldn't stress over it, personally. Seems the strains going around nowadays aren't too terrible.

Yea both my parents had it 3 weeks ago Dad has congestive heart failure and mom is a cancer survivor. They recovered in about 2 weeks

My dad(73)had it a few weeks ago. Was really tired a couple days with mild aches. Out mowing on the tractor less than a week later. Said he's had worse colds. Like everything else it affects us all different.
