Wait you mean I'm not coming out ahead driving an hour each way to to take the kids squirrel hunting/deer scouting when we average under 6 squirrels per trip. Just consider all that high quality meat. $30 in gas and $25 on food and snacks. All that meat definitely off sets the cost.😆

I'm not ragging on anyone for hunting or anything like that but I still stand by my original statement.

I'm playing with you. Wild game can be the most expensive meat most people will ever eat if you figure in all they spend to do it and time off work. There are exceptions like when we shoot deer out back off our farm. But then I take my boys to hunt out of Stat deer for KY youth season it's a very cheap hunt on public ground but still cost over 1000. Last year they only shot one the time before that they shot 3. Expensive deer meat. But you can't put a price on the memories.

I spent 400$ on a shotgun setup this year just to hunt pheasants and never shot a single one, so that's true that it's a very expensive meal but it's pretty good.

I’ve always heard stories like that. Mine have been different. My son shot blue rocks off of a gelding we had. Another time on a different gelding, I was elk hunting and leading the above gelding and a mule back to camp since my brothers decided to hunt back on foot. A spike bull stepped out in front of me. I slid off my horse and dropped the lead ropes while still holding my horses reins. I shot the bull twice with my 44mag revolver and killed it. My horse never tightened up the reins and the other two had their heads back in the grass by the time I turned around to look at them. Just lucky I guess.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — After a critically acclaimed first season that was allegedly watched by some people, the producers of the January 6th Hearings have sadly confirmed that their star Liz Cheney will not be returning for season 2.
"Liz was a standout in season 1 and we're sad to see her go," said fellow actor and screenwriter for the show Adam Schiff. "We will carry on without her, however, as there are many more exciting storylines we have planned for next year!"

DAYTON, OH — According to sources, local woman Grace Barton committed to reveal her most recent Target receipt to her husband by noon today, but when she submitted the document, almost every word and line item on the receipt was redacted with a thick black bar.

Barton claims the redactions were for "security purposes" and that the purchases were on a "need to know" basis only.

"I'm being as transparent as I can at this time," she assured her husband as he looked over the receipt, which was almost entirely just black bars save for the Target logo and the cute little Target dog. Barton went on to claim she is the "most transparent wife" in marriage history, despite the redactions, and that she would look into declassifying more items as she is able.

"This should clear things up and reassure you that all these purchases were, in fact, justified," she added before putting up another Magnolia brand knick-knack near the entryway.

At publishing time, her husband had turned in a redacted Bass Pro Shops receipt after smuggling in a long package that was shaped suspiciously like a fishing rod.

I saw what was posted by leftlane. It was very disgusting. Given what I was 'permanently' banned for (responding to a question with my interpretation), leftlane should be gone. If not for good he should have a looooooong vacation. That is if this is truly a kid friendly site. I generally enjoy his posts, but, he went way over the line with that meme. If he was permanently banned I would not blame the boss for it. I will stop here as I am sure the boss has already made his mind up.

Mr Dobbins, for what it's worth, I would hate to see that happen. I actually look forward to reading that everyday and the humor helps me to get through my day. In my opinion it appears to be the minority that think it's funny to put on memes that are not kid friendly. I do not do disrespect and stupid well. The meme that was posted was sick, evil and twisted. Then his "buddies" start in on me...Iv'e been on here a while...same crowd. Birds of a feather...Makes me wonder if they even care for kids? Fair questions. They are our greatest treasure and one day (I believe soon) folks are gonna have to answer for their actions...ALL will. Why not a vacation? Sends a better message than having all lose out on memes because of a few (fill in the blank). And this site is one of a kind in my opinion. As a whole it seems that it's basically the same group of people that throws these memes out and think it's funny. And then if someone stands up to it (I did), then you have a small group of idiots that post that I am on my soap cart or where did you get touched? And some of those people are jerks and very disrespectful and I guarantee most would not say that face to face (no this is NOT a threat...making a point) which makes it sad, because then they think they have a platform here? I'm not Mr. Dobbins or a moderator, but I understand your frustration. In this internet world it's hard for fellas to bloody each other's nose and expect both sides to shake hands afterwards and apologize. I also appreciate the meme posts and realize they are a privilege and not a right. Folks here can rub each other the wrong way wether that's how we were brought up, personalities or beliefs but in the end I hope we're all good meaning folks. I hope everyone can respect the set rules because these threads are the only humor some of us get.

I have been on the road most of the day. When I got to my motel, I saw where there were numerous notifications about a bad post, but it had already been taken down.
The meme threads are on probation. If there's anymore of this crap, it will be done away with.

I'm not a moderator on this section of the forum SF. I never even saw the meme in question. But apparently some moderator did. It's their job to remove it and admonish the perpetrator, not yours. All you have done is made a big scene and gone all high and mighty with the name calling and "I'm so great, and you're all so stupid." crap. The moderators on this section do a tremendous job of keeping this place the way Paul wants it. They don't need you to scold anyone for them. There is a notify button at the bottom of every post, if the post offends you, hit that button and let the moderators do THEIR job.
