Brake Pads - 08/23/22 04:33 PM

Is ceramic pads front and rear the way to go? I always try and get the best pads i can get. I know nothing about ceramic pads.
I do some hauling with my F150, so, i want the best for hauling.
Thanks, Sarge

I like the cheap ones that wear faster. They are softer and stop better than the longer wearing, harder ones. The lifetime guarantee ones will actually wear your rotors out before they wear out the pads.

I like softer pads on GM 1/2 tons. I buy less rotors.
I also maintain the whole system, not just the pads.
2 sets pads to 1 set rotors running in winter salt, rotors cut in between.

I've tried it both ways, hard and soft pads.

Thanks for your input. Believe i'll go the semi-metalic way. Sarge

Same here, I've tried ceramic for a while, seemed they heated more when braking & warped rotors. semi metallic seem the way to go.
