NC Trappers Convention - Sept. 23 & 24 - 09/13/22 10:19 PM
A little over a week away.......this is the 50th Anniversary of the NC Trappers Association and we have lots of commemorative items to be sold or raffled including 3 AR15 rifles manufactured by Bear Creek Arsenal that have the NCTA 50th Anniversary logo laser engraved on them an numbered 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and 3 of 3. Two of those will be raffled with a card deck, one on Friday morning and one on Saturday morning. The other one will be sold at the Auction Sale on Saturday. We have several other items with the logo as well including traps with engraved pans, stretcher boards with the logo burned in, a couple of trappers axes, leather wallets and of course, Tee Shirts.
Lots of vendors with trapping supplies and baits and lures. Pretty much anything you might need whether you are an experienced trapper or just getting started. The demos and conversations with fellow trappers can really help shorten the learning curve and it is nice to be able to see and ask questions about items you are interested in buying without having to pay shipping.
And after a day of trapping and fur handling demos and the auction on Friday, we have The Feed Friday evening featuring fresh cooked on site, whole hog BBQ and fried catfish and all the trimmings. No additional charge but donations are appreciated.
It is in Smithfield and costs $5 for adults at the gate. You do not have to be a member to attend but if you are interested in trapping, we encourage you to join.
