There are more than a few notable Trappermen on the demo list. That is an outstanding line up.

Can someone act up in class while John and Andrew are giving demos since I cant be there?

We’ll be there.
John, have the bean chef put another quart or 2 in the pot. I'm hungry and chomping at the bit to get me a bowl full!!! Maybe even 2!

I got that acting up part covered most likely. Mama says I need to try real hard, but you just can't bring in a feral cat and expect a pet. laugh laugh laugh

Will do. We've chatted a few times at past conventions and I've always enjoyed it. Chatted with your bride for a bit last year also, enjoyed that visit too.

Ps I didn't really introduce myself in the past so don't go to worrying trying to figure out who I am . Lol

Re: Kansas Fur Harvesters Assoc. Oct. 7th & 8th - 10/08/22 10:33 PM

Really enjoyed the convention. Thanks to all people that put it on, the guys that did demos and the vendors. Met Danny, Flint Hills, Wheelers and a few other new trapping friends (missed Pawnee, think hes avoiding me or something). Got the pleasure to visit with Lee, Cletis, Marty ,Ed and Smokey Hill again. More I meet the more I look forward to the next one. Left with some lure from Keg Creek, another Steinmeyer knife, some coyote board and a cherry pie. Great time. Thanks again everyone
Ps I did get a snort of of Lee's wine too. Was like drinking a cherry pie with a bit of nudge afterwards. Lee makes first class products! Luckly for Lee i was driving home or he would have had a new BFF until the bottle was empty:)

Re: Kansas Fur Harvesters Assoc. Oct. 7th & 8th - 10/09/22 02:43 AM

My youngest son and I were there too, I'm not much of the type to emphasize who I am to everyone I meet, so didn't do a lot of "socializing". We DID get some good deals on some stuff, and learned a bunch from the demos! Special shout out to R&M Lures for helping my son out with some bait! Thanks to ALL who organized/coordinated this event!

Re: Kansas Fur Harvesters Assoc. Oct. 7th & 8th - 10/09/22 03:33 PM

The numbers may have been a little lower than in the past but a great convention.
I will not mention names for to miss one would be bad. Every active member (most of the membership) worked their tails off
assuring there were no blips in the schedule and grounds. My hat is off to everyone, and it made the drive well worth it!

Enjoying a bowl of Lennys ham and beans right now! He builds a killer pot of beans! Ate them for so many meals, there is a blue haze following me around. Not sure, but I think it may be dangerous! grin

I will say them beans was top shelf. Len is one heck of a bean cook and it seems he can also make some fine cornbread to go with them. MMMMMgood.
