I'll show my sewage background. I actually prefer Old Crow. When I really splurge, I take on some George Dickel Rye. My wife's a little more refined with her Buffalo Trace.

Canadian Club is my favorite utility whiskey. I’ve switched a lot of Crown drinkers to CC in blind tests. Pendleton and Gibsons are my favorite “top shelf” whiskey.

Forty Creek Copper Pot Whisky.
Although I was so impressed that I would like to try other Forty Creek products.
Shortly after trying this and finding that it has the best flavor and none of the heads or tails toluene flavors that the Ohio liquor board stopped allowing the brand to be sold in Ohio.

Re: Preferred whiskey - 09/30/22 12:55 PM

I don't know if I could pick just one. I like Crown Royal Peach with seven up when drinking with the wife. When I have a drink I usually go with what I might have on hand. 1792, Larceny, American Honey by Wild Turkey, Knob Creek Smoked Maple is good for a night cap. Jim Beam Black is good. Sometimes I get Jim Beam Vanilla when the wife is in the mood of vanilla flavor. I do like Bird Dog Blackberry when I can find it.

Has anyone tried Mike Rowes whiskey yet? It's called Knobel.

I appreciate the kind words, sir !!!

Life's too short to drink lousy whiskey. Unfortunately, I don't have a newsletter. But if you're ever making a pass through western PA............you stop yourself in here and we'll have a couple fingers. Neat. Just as the Lord intended.
