Count our Blessings - 10/09/22 12:53 PM

On 10/3/2022. I was up in my office. About 8:35am I heard squads and fire trucks. I figured they where coming to our building. To give aid to one of our residents. But they went down the road. I thought wow must be a bad accident. At 9:15am. I received a call on my cell. It was a police officer letting me know my wife was in an accident. She’s alert and heading to the hospital and he would meet me at the emergency admitting area. Not the call I was expecting. I drove by the accident. I knew it was serious. I got to the emergency admitting area. After 5 minutes they brought me back to see my wife. After 1 night in the ICU Trauma unit. She was released the following day. My wife had a guardian angel riding with her that day. Another 6 inches towards the driver side. She probably wouldn’t of made it. The police officer said she was very fortunate. My wife has 6 to 8 week recovery time. But she can walk, talk, no broken bones or trauma to her head. Seatbelt and air bags saved her life. [Linked Image]

Been there fourteen years ago. Wife stopped at a stop sign waiting to turn left, a fool tops the hill and never slacks up. Pushed her through the intersection and into the ditch. Wife, MIL and three month old daughter in the car. All unharmed, praise God.

God is good.

Wayne, I am glad your wife will be okay. That's a massive amount of damage to her vehicle.

Thanks everyone. I don’t normally post bad news. But I hope it helps someone to realize the importance of seatbelts. Along with airbags. Yes she was very lucky. I am very lucky to have her by my side. We just celebrated our 19yr wedding anniversary. Definitely looking at things a bit differently. smile
