We haven't had a fall turkey hunt near me in many years, so I quit applying for tags 20-25 years ago. They changed the rules a bit since i last went after them too.....We can now buy a "leftover" tag in areas that were undersubscribed, with no limit except the original quota. You are only limited to buying no more than one tag per day. Well, I enjoy turkey meat as much as the next guy, so.............
These young-of-the-year birds are sure pin feathery though! I may go get a couple more and can up a few quarts of Turkey Noodle Soup stock. Us old farts (65+ years old) can get a fall tag for $6 too, bonus!
