The bottom pic looks like that deer is sort of a Pie Bald deer.

Top one was one we were after a couple yrs ago. He was harvested by a neighbors son during rifle season. First I've seen the bottom one but the big Brow tine reminded me of the one we hunted. Bottom pic is a couple miles from where we hunted the big one

Don’t believe that long point is a brow tine, but rather the G 2 on the right side. If you enlarge the picture you can see the actual brow tine behind it and it’s similar size to the left brow.

That said they could be related.

The lil g4 on both of those bucks right side are identical...along with the left sides. I'd say they are in the same gene pool for sure. Age being the biggest difference in the two

I agree wit Scott. The genetics are very possible.

Looks like the same deer, just a year or two between pictures. But sice you say the first buck was taken I'd say the pictures are in reverse order. Otherwise it is the genetics of the local population. Both are awesome bucks.

When you consider the genetics of the doe are % 50 of every deer,s biology anything is possible Some claim that young buck fawns leave the home range they where born in to prevent inbreeding But the more genetically superior buck any given area has the more likely the chance of multiple large living in the area .In other words good genetics produce good genetics across the population

Got any more pictures of the deer? When scored that will most likely count as a g2 I can't see it being count as brow tine, to far up the beam.
