Really enjoying this laser

I've been making all kinds of stuff.

That's pretty cool stuff. I've always wanted to have someone do the grips on my trap line pistol.
What's the actual machine look like?

I don’t want to be a Jedi sensation over night. I could probably try to laser thing one of my Yeti tumblers and wind up having a frontal lobotomy, not that that would make much difference.

Cool lookin stuff Airport

This is a budget laser , 5w diode. Runs about $400 with a rotary to do cups. It has more than paid for itself already.

From what I can see it looks like it does a great job and would be a lot of fun. How long does it take to get that good with it?

I'm still learning it. It can do alot more than this, I just haven't figured it out yet. I have had it a few weeks now.

Maybe the better question is if he'd do your grips for you? Awesome work BTW!

Yes, everything has been done with the free software.

This is the picture I used for the coaster

So is it just uploading a picture into a file and then dropping the file in the software and it lasers it? Seems super cool and I could get behind one for personal use.

The picture has to be run through a software and converted. I use a website called Imag-R

Ok makes sense, that's slick. Going to do some more research and poke around.

Tried something new this morning, going to have to try some different settings but it's not too bad. Canvas painted black.
