For blakspot..setting the record straight

First off..
Who do you think you are to come on a thread where I am showing trappers what hard work and determintation can do for you in the trappers world..and attempt to insult Jerry Pingley by insinuating that he can only Do what he does trapping because I work to pay for our living while he's trapping?

You'd do good not to comment on financial situations you know nothing about.

For your information..not that t's your business..Jerry Pingley not only pays all our household bills he keeps myself and himself in vehichles..he has a 2021 Nissan. Frontier ..I have a 2019 chevy silverado..PAID FOR OUTRIGHT by one MR. JERRY PINGLEY..by that I mean both vehicles are paid off..mostly from him working his butt off trapping.

I work 2 days a week for. Mr Stepp and I work 2 hrs a day for Mrs. Curry..the money I make is for ME. It is my spending money.

Jerry does not take or receive any of that money.


I don't have to work because Jerry makes more than enough through trapping....digging ramps..recycling and his job to more than take care of our household needs and my needs but I won't allow him to give me spending money.

Iwant it...I wanna buy it..I go to work and earn the money for those extra things I want.


Jerry doesnt..drink..smoke...go to sports games..or blow money gambling or on any other BS.

THATS how he is able to go trapping out of state.

He has the discipline not to blow money...alot better than me.

I earn my money because I don't feel right spending money he's made by working his butt off for things that are soley for me.

He would and has always taken care of me and my children...and he didn't have to...and still he's been able to trap.


Jerry Pingley would never live off of a woman and he'd quit trapping if he had to in order to pay the bills but he doesn't have to because he works his butt off and saves.

Any of yall could do it if you'd just set our mind to it.


So quite frankly the best thing you can do is put me on block.

That way I don't have to waste my time telling you to go get screwed again.

Jerry Pingley is by far the hardest working man I've ever known and my daddy worked himself to death..so I don't say that lightly.

I don't care what you think of me but if you think I'm gonna set by and let you malign Jerry Pingleys reputation as a hard working no nonsense man..then your crazy.

No one is gonna talk bad about or put Jerry Pingley in a bad light on my watch.

I DO thoroughly understand, howevah, the instinct to charge full throttle in defense of a man well-loved.

I am exactly the same way. And it isn't even in the fact of being a biological redhead that makes me so....it is from a place that many only dream about and wish they had a woman or a man of that strength on their team.

..I don't pay everything..but I wish I could..that I I'd make enough money so he didn't have to work so hard to be able to do what he loves doing..trapping.

He still wouldn't take money I earned to go trapping.

Cathryn, I don't know you other than by what you post here. But I respect you enough to say you don't have to explain yourself to nobody, period. As far as I'm concerned Jerry could be a gigolo and you a sugar mama, none of my dang business. You've carried yourself honorably and respectfully here and you just keep on being you.

But with that confession you've earned even more of my respect. It's not always easy in any marriage but it sounds like y'all have got one that works. He able to provide doing what he loves and you providing a loving home while he does it. Much respect.

The written word is confusing at times

He's a hard charging trapping machine from West Virginia. I doubt there are many who could keep up with him on the line.

I think Ness got it right written word is easy to offend and hard to defend sometimes

Well maybe when he's down here trapping beaver sometime, I'll get the chance to meet him. I've always admired those who make their living trapping.

Paul. You are right. We are not married but have been together almost 18 years.

J. stanton.. Jerry is a hard worker who.loves to trap.and because of his work ethic he's successful.

He actually traps in Arkansas but it's mainly for yotes. He's trapped arkansas for close to 10 years...with a guy we met here on TMan.

He odoes his big beaver trapping in Mississippi and last year in WV he caught 125 beaver and anyone who's trapped for beaver in WV knows what a feat that was.

There has got to be some misunderstanding. I truly believe what he said is true. I am thankful you can accept his apology. I do believe it is sincere.

I don’t know Cathryn and Jerry, but from what I see here, they seem like good folks from West “By God” Virginia. They are welcome at my campfire anytime.

And there is nothing wrong with marrying a sugar mama or a sugar daddy. Actually it is quite nice. Both my wife and I “married up” above our socioeconomic level and it has worked out well. We can both tell each other that we don’t deserve each other.

I’ve been misunderstood more than once in my lifetime. Lol

I am glad for an understanding and working out , hopefully for all.

I didn't know what to think of black spot's thought either, but I kept it to myself , until I was moved to come to Cathryn's defense. It was easy to see she was distraught, as Jerry was, evidently also.

Words alone typed are difficult without the full spectrum of face to face expressions, voice and touch. A whopping 97% of how folks communicate is with body language and voice inflection. So all that is left out in seeing only typed words.

Though, through time, people can get to know each other by the way they express words, like recognizing art or music by the style of the author .

I think, Black Spot, a bit more help for us, in explanation , next time , would work wonders.

I dislike misunderstandings and feel terrible if I see I needed to phrase something differently , even with the best of intent.

The gap has been bridged , all is ok now.

Yotetrapper30..he trapped around Oxford but they're not enough beaver there to make it a trip anymore..between Marty Harmon and Jerry 1000s of beaver came out of that area.

I feel I've made my feelings on the subject known and that my feelings were justified.

That's my area... the Oxford area. There are a lot of beaver compared to other states I've lived in, but I've trapped over in the delta area and the amount of beaver over there is crazy.

Know neither the offended nor offender. But that was one quick and IMO honest apology. Good to see folks working it out! Trap on!

Between Jerry and Marty they took close to 1000 beaver a year from that area.
