We Lost Another One - 11/06/22 07:00 PM

Popular western singer and poet Don Edwards has passed away. He grew up on a farm in New Jersey but left home at 16 for the oil fields of Texas and NM.
He fell in love with the western and cowboy way of life and started writing poetry and singing.
He passed away at his home in Hico, TX with his wife and his dog by his side.

I will miss sitting around the camp fire drinking black coffee and listening to Don play the guitar and sing with his heeler dog at his feet until I take my last breath.
He was a good man. But I am glad to have those memories.

Seen Don in person a couple times and have much of his music. Going to miss him. Ian Tyson, Don Edwards and Haggard are the best for me. Two gone now and Ian getting old and not well. Tom Russell is another good one and still going.

May he rest in peace. A great talent, and an American icon.
