I'm curious as to just how this steady beat down of NY gun laws and Hochul's doubling down on constitutional violation is being reported in NY. Or is it at all?

It's crazy, I was in Runnings over the weekend, they had a couple semi auto rifles, not AR's One was a Springfield, I asked to look at it & was told I could not unless I had a NYS pistol permit or some kind of new semi auto permit from NYS. That Horse faced Hochul has got to go.

I hate to ridicule the NRA, I sort of think it feeds onto the hands of the anti 2A crowd, I was a member for years. However, I'm beginning to think they are owned by many of the swamp creatures.

Should have deep sixed Lapiere years ago. I am a long time life member, and will not support them till he is gone. GOA is much better at this point. Why give hard earned funds to some one that has destroyed the NRA like they have. They waste most of the money they raise at this point.
Most cases like these need someone with standing for the case to be heard. Even the GOA case above was thrown out once because the judge said they didn't have standing, so I'm guessing they filed it with someone who did.

Hippie I didn't see anything in that article stating that the NRA had any part in the case, just watching it because "it could have major consequences across the country"
As to the standing comment, I believe that was because they filed before anyone had been harmed by the new laws. When they refiled they had someone who could show that the new laws negatively impacted them.
