Well, Nessie, we finally got some weather but the ducks did not cooperate.

I guess I could call myself lucky, though with the hunting I was able to do with my Son and Grandson. The pic is me in the front of my Son's boar, then Grandson, then Son driving his boat out onto the marsh from the little inlet we keep out boats.

I remember when Alton White built his dredge back in the 60s and pumped the muck out of there. His oldest daughter and I graduated the same year. He was quite the inventor. How deep is that back in there now?

Pretty shallow on the way in but deeper by the resort. Lots of sediment washed in till the farmer across the road did some work on the gully that keeps the sediment from the fields from getting into the inlet. It could use another dredging but that would mess up my Bluegil fishing in the Spring!

Been one of the worst duck seasons ever!

Well, Nessie, sure wish I could say it is but the heavy waders and Mississippi mud takes its toll. Kind of a hurting unit but will keep at it. i have 2 Grandsons to teach how to duck hunt!

Muskrat-You are probably seeing the mud flat behind me. Yesterday, while we were out hunting between 5 a.m and 10 a.m.. they dropped the water level an estimated 8 inches! We were happy we weren't set up in one of the shallow bays we like to hunt. Not sure if we would have gotten out. About halfway back today.

Yes it was, defense was good, special teams blunders by Amari Rogers hurt again. Hate to see a young guy go but it is probably time. Offense was not bad, Watson added a deep threat the offense needs to back off the defense. Running game was solid.
