My boy got his second deer yesterday.

Proud as I can be of my son. He was hunting with his grandfather yesterday morning and sealed the deal on a nice 8 pt buck. He shot his first deer a spike when he was 7 years old. Now this 8pt at 8 years old. I was 11 when I killed my first deer and was at least 20 or so before I killed a buck that nice. Im tickled pink for him! His grandfather is going to have it mounted for him.

I had to wait until I was 12 here to hunt. Now my buddy is planning to take his 10year old granddaughter out Saturday for our gun opener. I'm not sure which one them is more excited to go.

Do what? You couldn’t hunt by yourself until 12 or hunt at all until 12?

Far as I know..
Only been few years here in WI could buy license legally hunt under age 12. At least big game.
I was actually in I think second hunter safety class ever held in our area. Allowed me to hunt at 14 without supervision of adult.
