Pre SUV time- I miss it

Also pre front wheel drive or AWD for the most part and people still got around. I'll admit it's easier with FWD. I'd hate to pay for the gas at todays prices for driving some of those if you got to commute very far.

Here's CO mountain hunting before everyone had SUV's, or even trucks. They did tow a 1947 Willys to camp to use.

Remember when most high performance cars ran on ethyl or premium gas? Regular gas made them ping and low performance.

When my brother used to buy gas for his '69 Super Bee Six Pack he's say..."Fill it up with Ethyl...my Grandma's name."

Yep. We had a hitch on the family truckster lol. Ford country squire wagon woody. Had a ten foot whip CB antenna too.

Heck, we never gave a thought to taking pics back then. I wish we did though take pics of all of us cruising town, filling up at the station, stopping at M' icky D's or Burger Chef. I don't have any pics of all the deer, squirrel, rabbits we hunted or any trapping pics till later in life. Camera's were a luxury and pics never came to mind. I wish we did now, I love to see the old pics on here.

I like that first pic, I bought a 74 challenger that last year they came out. Beauties but thanks to the emission regulations they only came with 318’s.
That motor and drive train were a pretty easy swap out, then they became a true muscle car.
