Son got medal of honor today.

Back in June if you recall I posted about my son being involved in a officer Involved shooting.
(Good guy 1 bad guy 0)
Today the buckeye state sheriffs association awards ceremony was held. My son was awarded the medal of honor.
Yes as parents we couldn't be prouder.

Man that is so awesome. I’m not saying the way he had to get it was awesome, just the award.
I equate LE to the military, most of the time higher.
As military you may be out 6-9 months, then a rest and training again. LEO’s do it 24/7/365 year after year! Utmost respect!
I’ve always said while military is overseas fighting, we have LEO’s protecting those we left behind.

I am very happy that you and your family have him with you. Far too many of our Brothers and Sisters in LE have paid the ultimate sacrifice over the past years. I get teary eyed typing this, as I have carried several of my Friends to their temporary resting place. Hug him often, tell him how much you love him twice as often. Perilous times we walk in these days.
