How many coyote traps can you set in one day/hour? Also how long does it take to set one coyote trap?

Too many variables to make an accurate count. Distance between sets, knowing exact location you are going to make the sets, how many traps per location...

In south Mo rocks I feel good if I get 20- 25 a day. I hear about guy getting 50 in sandy locations but that isn't me.

Lots of variables. At my age a couple dozen is about all I want to set . That’s not all day but I am not a longliner or a pro. We have a lot of red clay here and it is slow compared to river bottom sand that I get to work in every once in a while.

5 an hour if the ground is dry and unfrozen is doing good for me

Depends on how long the line is, what kind of soil I’m dealing with, and how long do you consider a day?

Types of sets can influence time on site. Flats, quicker. Constructed like dirt hole/step down, longer.

I can set 100s of coyote traps in a day. Now if you're wondering about coyote sets ???? To many variables to make that call

I tend to double set at locations so i'm happy with 15 locations in a day, 30 sets. The footwork of getting to good locations is the biggest hindrance

I can make a coyote set in 2to3 minutes

The first year I ever got very serious about trapping I had and put out all 116 of my traps. I drove from what ever job site I worked at to Piqua, Ohio to Arlington, Ohio and back home to Dayton. Yes, I caught fur and shot a lot of ducks and rabbits, but I did much, much better in later years, except on the ducks and rabbits, when I usually set 34 traps or less, with much more skill. You're going to catch more by putting in a lesser number of better sets, rather than putting out loads of poor quality sets.

38 sets in 17 locations was my best day, with near perfect conditions. This year the ground was really dry and I got 28 sets in 14 locations.

Takes me about 4 minutes a set. That is making Deep trench set always two sets per location so around 8 minutes then moving again
