350 Legend: I知 impressed! - 11/26/22 11:51 PM

Zone 3 in Michigan is shotgun or straight wall cartridge only. As I couldn稚 buy the slugs that pattern decent in my HR anymore; I went and bought a 350 Legend. Could have got a 450 Bushmaster but ballistically both are very similar. The 350 has much less recoil so better for my girls and ammo is about 1/2 the price.

Shot a deer through both shoulders at about 150 yards and the bullet was just under the hide. Appears to be perfect expansion and retention. I知 impressed to say the least and probably will leave the slugs on the shelve. [Linked Image]

what ammo/bullet?

the .355 170gr at 1950fps sure puts it right close to 35rem If I didn't already have a 300blk pistol to fit in the pistol shotgun zone I hunt I would have gone 350legend

I used the 150gr Winchester Deer season XP extreem points this year , only shot I took was to put down a wounded deer for a cousin but it looks good I got a through and through with a decent looking exit wound.

My son has one, and three deer have been taken by him. One ran about 200 yards because the shot was a bit off, the other two dropped in their tracks. Shots from 60 to 100 yards for him. I've been impressed so far.

it has some nice looking numbers 2325fps with a 150gr is about spot on 30-30

the 150s in the 300blk I used are running a bit slower at 1900fps , like I said I would have probably gone 350 had I not already built the 300blk

I bought one for my son 3 years ago. He just turned 12 this year and has harvested 5 deer with it. Low recoil hits like a sledge hammer on the other end. I'm impressed with it. Ammo is readily available too.

How far did that one go? My 44 magnum carbine leaves the expanded bullet just under the hide like that and puts the deer in a pile every time whether its high or low in the chest and broadside. My 30-06 doesn't do that every time.

Straight down. I would say all deer react a little differently when shot but this one just folded.

I love mine. Leopold makes a scope just for this caliber that I am thinking of switching to.
