45 is about my cut off- maybe get a bag of ice for the chest cavity to chill it down after the body heat leaves.
You should be ok

No problem whatsoever. Take the skin off and keep it dry.

It will be fine if gutted. If possible run a hose of cold water to clean out and chill the cavity.

Finster - Congrats on the Buck!!! The weather is not going to cooperate tonight -- High Winds and Rain overnight. Maybe best to be in the garage with a bag of ice in the cavity.

I clean out milk jugs and fill them 3/4 with water and put them in my chest freezer for just this sort of thing.I fill the cavity with 2 of them,,then tie a third one between the hams. You can keep them quite a while like that.I leave skin on because it helps keep the cold in.But to answer you question,,if you going to get at it tomorrow,,,I wouldn't worry.

Meh, just a basket rack. Not really photo worthy. Maybe I'll take one in the morning. Only about a 15" spread. With the price of beef these days, I'm meat hunting this year. I have a doe tag to fill yet.

We would have died out centuries ago if meat went bad in 46 degree weather. Also…you can leave the pizza box out over night and eat it the next day.

Put a fan on it. Will be fine. The sooner it cools, the better.

LOL some of you guys are funny, 45 degrees is like a freezer to some of us. I have hung animals in right at 85 in the shade with a fan and they were more than fine for 12 hours. If you had the guts out of it, jeez theres no telling how long you could go with any sort of mixing of techniques. The key though is you gotta hang it, letting it lay on the ground and you wont ever have anywhere near the same amount of time as hanging it.

As long as he's gutted and not gut shot, you should be fine. I always rinse the cavity with cold water.
Congrats on the deer!
