Caught a mess of fish....

Caught a few speckled perch (crappie) and 1 bluegill and 1 redbreast today. Paddled the old leaky canoe around a small river "lake" and fished about an hour with a spinner. Wanted just a mess to filet...

I head out for a 14 day predator job next week so thought I'd go fishing...

I don't fish much, but this was fun...those bigger ones pulled good...

For sure. Drove up to my other property (about 2 hrs away) to put up a cell camera to see what bucks survived the hunting season. I carried my fishing gear...glad I did.

That is sure one way to get out and enjoy a few hours of your day. I agree on the fine eating. Should be enough for a couple meals there if you don't try to clean them all up on the first meal.

I dont think we have those pumpkinseeds in SE Ga. If we do, and they are same species, they dont get very big...about 3 fingers, and we call them red-eyes. We use them for bait.
