In my opinion = 8 to 12 years. Is the sweet spot for bourbon or good aged rye whiskey. Some things = like wheated bourbon = 12 year old Weller or 15 year old Pappy are more of a acquired taste or preference

Home brew cream ale, I must say it’s very tasty.I’m brewing tomorrow centennial golden ale.

The WP 12 is as advertised. DARNED smooth and VERY tasty. However........... $180 smooth and tasty ?? Meh.........

Finished off with a couple fingers of Four Roses Yellow Label. Nearly as enjoyable as the WP 12 at 1/6 the price tag.

Russell's Reserve 10 Year and Eagle Rare are a couple of my very favorites. I have neither the access nor the ca$h to drink much 12+ year stuff.

IF. I could find it Eagle Rare 10 year old would be my go to drink. At true price 35 a bottle its great stuff. Now = Henry Mckenna 10 year old bonded bourbon. Has a similar taste profile. BUT its 60 to 75 a bottle
