Last night around 1:00 am...my son checked on Meg..out in the baahn ..and found a set of triplets.

Meg pushed all these babies out by herself.

Thankfully they weren't born last Saturday when it was -15 and 35 mph winds.

They look to be about 12-13 pounds each...going out to weigh them now

This is only our second set of triplets in 20 years

That's really neat, Nessy. A happy time for all in the baahn. A nice warm stall you have for them.

Nice!! Love sheep and lambing is an exciting time. We used to raise sheep and I really miss this time of year.

Awesome., when it gets extremely cold I have a blue plastic barrel with lid I hang a heat light inside with some hard wire cloth below screwed to the side so my goats can jump up and hit the light. I cut a hole in the side so the baby goats can get inside. If it's to warm they can get out and lay under the heat light in the stall where it's 20°cooler.

We had a doe that always has 2 have 4 last year and all 4 were doe.

My son said she has a big bag and plenty of milk for 3. But there's only 2 teats...so he will check there bellies and supplement with a bottle just to get them up and running..then they should be fine.

Was supposed to have 5 ewes lambing ...but only 2 got bred. So it's easy to stay on top of them

Good deal sometimes we leave all the triplets with a momma and sometimes we pull one. Just depends on the momma and how the babies look

I don't know anything about sheep, if twins or triplets are mixed sex are they all free martins like cattle?
