Money talks.
There is nothing wrong with remidiation of toxic spills,as long as they dont just dump it someplace else.

Some landfills can take this kind of waste safely, some can't. Depends on where they're located, how they are designed, geology and other stuff.

The railroads do what they want don't give a rip what anyone wants.
I can't believe all people whining about this spill..
Where are all the brave souls that drank from the hose? Rode their bikes with no helmets? Rode in the back window of dad's old Buick? Ate lead paint never flinched?
Bunch cry baby's probably only drank fruit flavored bottled water anyways. Now complaining about couple rail cars falling over by them, think all tax payers should help them. Go get your compensation from rail road make them clean that crap up. Don't need more government.

But you guys do realize that about 48 of the 50 states HAVE A TOXIC waste dumping site in them. That waste since it was burned off probly isn't as bad as a drum of oil based or lead paint !! Why the epa approved the burn. To get most of the toxins dispearsed...

There was a big cleanup in the early 80's of a site in NJ. All that dirt went to Ohio. It has to go somewhere. What do you suggest? buld another space shuttle and put it on the moon?
FWIW railroads are self insured. They are paying the bill.

Vanguard and Blackrock own a big portion of the railroad. It'll go where they want it to go.
