Weird looking fish

This Spotted bass had something going on . It fins where blood red . Even it’s mouth was bloody looking inside

They get that way when they are making babies. Throw back in there and catch the female off the bed

That was a female and no that's not spawn red. Not the typical bloody tail from fanning. Every fin had that look. Been bed fishing since I was 13 so I know bed red.. LOL The large mouth and spots are showing up with that bass virus. We caught a largemouth Saturday that looked like it had been dragged behind a car.

Could be a sickness that comes from having excess amount of Asian carp in the lake. The crappie and bass in Kentucky and Barkley Lakes started looking that way and a lot worse. Don’t know how long it will take those crappie fisheries to come back, if they ever do. If the conservation doesn’t get a handle on the flying carp they will eventually ruin every lake and river in the country.

Or stress from fanning spawning beds and fighting off other fish trying to steal eggs.

Really weird looking when it's walleye season.

We don’t have grass carp yet !! Water is 55 degrees and full moon was last week . Bass aren’t bedding here yet . I looked !! Got tournaments this weekend and like I said been bed fishing for 47 years . I know where the first ones show up.

Yes did a little Google search FW identify it as skin disease. Here’s another bass looking similar.

It used to be illegal to target bedding bass here, not sure if that's still true or not. ..I haven't read the rules for bass lately.

They sure are easy to catch off a bed.

I ain’t talking about grass carp. Talking about Asian Carp. The kind that jumps out of the water and tries to knock you out of the boat. They have ruined Kentucky and Barkley lakes with sick fish like in your picture.
