I was at that NYSTA convention in Middletown in 1979.
I remember the trapper fund raising auction there where they kept selling and reselling the trap stakes nobody wanted over and over again for ridiculous money !!!
Anyone NYSTA veterans remember that auction at that convention ?

Explains why they were in the box for all these years....
I was there too. I remember those stakes and a guy named "Slivers"..Jim Carmody was treasurer, and I sold a collector mouse trap for a hundred bucks. I well remember Roland Miller and he was backbone of the organization at that time. Those bumper stickers bring back a lot of fond memories.
Don't remember the auction but do remember my friend putting 2 gallons of fox urine on the floor of the pickup cab. The smell never left that cab the entire time he owned it.
