https://www.amazon.com/AccuSharp-AC...93&hvtargid=pla-77880055286&th=1 - No other brand of this style. It must be Accusharp brand. It works great on every type knife from pocket knives, to skinning knives, to fillet knives, to kitchen knives. I have probably 6+ of them at various locations. They put a razors edge, very fast and very easily.

There was an old wet stone in a drawer of my house when o bought it, a nice very fine one. It's all I've ever used.

Correction.....if I have a super dull knife, I use the woman's carbide doohickie to get good angles on it first.

Arkansas Stone.

Re: Knife Sharpener - 05/22/23 06:58 PM

Dunn's sharpening system on a bench grinder for most of my knives.
I super fine stone in my hand for my khukri. The bevel is large on that knife. Since the purpose is to lop off limbs, one must carefully ensure that the stone contacts the entire bevel on every stroke, or you will destroy the shearing quality of that blade.

Thanks everyone! I’m going to start with the accusharp for now. All my knives are in good shape. Then upgrade to the worksharp set ups.

How often do you throw your knife away? Those are tough on blades.

Re: Knife Sharpener - 05/23/23 10:14 PM

Dexter Steel. Once your knife is sharp. All you need is a steel to maintain the edge.
