I don't use Corid unless I suspect Coccidiosis. For new chicks I typically add a little bit of ACV to their water.

I did with 9.6% solution mixed at 1 teaspoon per gallon for 5 days, since the chicks I had were not from a hatchery and I was worried about coccidiosis after one died from an unknown cause. Not sure if it was the right dose or if it helped but they all seem to be doing well. I gave it to them when they were 8 weeks old, they are 10 weeks old now.

an old gamefowl breeder told me to use 4 capfulls of chlorox bleache in a 5 gallon bucket of water and that was the only thing he used. I've been doing it for 5 yrs and have yet to lose a chick to sickness. Also feed unmedicated chick starter

Old beekeepers have been doing that forever when feeding sugar syrup. I also use ACV.

Only if they get coccidiosis.

Medicated chick starter has Amprolium in the feed, I start all my chicks with it. I recommend using it. For ACV, I take a trash can and put two bags of whole oats and one bottle of ACV. You can also add Valbazen for worms. Once coccidiosis starts you have to treat all of them and it really sets them back, especially with gamefowl.

See
I've always run 1 or two bags medicated through my new chicks then Regular non med feed.

But when I asked the guy for medicated he told me it didn't have enough meds to help.
Then he tried to sell me a 26 buck bag of the same ingredienti that's in the med bag.

I bought the chicks there I'll get the feed elsewhere.

I feed medicated chick starter until they have full feathers. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/purina-start-grow-medicated-50-lb?cm_vc=-10011 I also crumble hard boil eggs over the chick starter. Next, I feed a grower finisher and sour oats with wormer. Once a month or so, I add Acidifed Copper Sulfate to the water it helps with algae in the water and it also helps with coccidiosis and other bacterial infections. 1 oz per 5 gallons of water for 3 days. Do not use until they are at least six weeks old. I like to fast them the day before. https://www.jefferspet.com/acidifie...wy5yW_wIVRoxMCh2oRQfzEAQYASABEgJFOfD_BwE
