2023 Pennsylvania 2B deer zone season opener - 09/18/23 03:38 PM

PA opening day was good to me as the big guy up above blessed me with a great 9pt buck in 2B that was harvested at 530pm at 5 yards with 20 yard recovery watched him fall down as he tried climbing up a big hill. Big boy was thrashing trees and chasing a couple does around prior to me harvesting him so there already getting fired up with this cooler weather we are having. Thanks to Ryan Tanner and Laine Baker for helping me getting him up that hill or I'd still be there.

Nice one. I saw one Saturday and did not try a shot.
I believe I am ready for cross bow also
but have no clue which one or where to buy.

WRIGHT BROTHERS checkout the Centerpoint brand of xbows I had a sniper for 6 years harvested many with it never had a problem with the bow this hear I upgraded to the CP400 its a knock off of a ravin. Velocity outdoors owns Centerpoint and bought out ravin and since they own the patent they could use the helicoil technology they got a good sale going on now 40% off

Greenhead do you know of Lynns Archery? I've learned
to trust him over the years and he supports trapping.
Not sure what brand he carries today.

I'll look for the CP sale.

I see several different 400s on the web page.
Lynns is North 38 of Butler.
Turn left at the end of first lake.
Check it if you get over this way.

5 yards? NICE.

Ya 5 yards if he would been out 10 yards I would've never got him as to many tree branches.

When I was in school at Penn State in the 70's, and hunting all over that part of the state, you just didn't see bucks like that in PA. only old mounts in barber shops and bars from the "Old days" If it was anything more than a fork horn you had to consider mounting it. I think all PA. hunters owe a big thank you to DR. Gary Alt.
