Figured there’d be more beaver there.
Over $40 average on coyotes? Western stuff?
Dang good price on skunks!

The next MTPCA Fur Sale will be April 13th. At the Northland Sportsman’s Club in Gaylord Michigan.
MTPCA Fur sales have been a great way to sell Fur and get the best prices for your fur without shipping.

Maybe the guys that posted will expand on buyers. Id imagine a Tman member purchased majority. He’s always very fair with pricing. And has end market lined up for his use. Might be wrong but I doubt Groeny or Barnes were buying thise or reds at that value for a generic fur market use. And look at the quantity sold. Add couple zeros or even one on that number and you wouldn’t see same results in my opinion assuming those are easterns and not brought from west. Still nice to see

It is still impressive to see how many buyers many associations get with the lower number of pelts offered. Even if many are craft buyers they are still bidding on pelts. We tried a district sale and had as many as 3k pelts and the most buyers we could get is 3. We did not explore the craft market buyers and it may take some time to establish that segment of the marketing process.

As the industry evolves state sales my be a viable option. The field of selling options has narrowed. Which only complicates things.

I still ask, "Gray Fox pelts"?

Re: Marshall Michigan Fur Auction Results - 02/11/24 11:09 PM

I know that it may take a while if they become good markets at all but maybe we should work to put together a couple to let small buyers know we have places for them to buy or bid on fur. One could set up and see how it goes, for a small fee one could still decide to ship or go elsewhere. Good way to get fellow trappers together as well. Finding the right place that has a minimal charge can make it a small investment to try and expand options.
