Phone contacts transfer

Phone contacts transfer - 02/07/24 01:55 PM

I just bought a new flip phone at the Walmart last evening. I need to transfer all my contacts from my old flip phone to my new one. I transferred my old sim card to the new phone since they were compatible, and I had just refilled 2 months of additional talk service recently.

Any easy way to do this without doing it manually for an hour or more?

it depends , since it is a flip phone less likely

try plugging the USB into your pc and see if it will let you view memory and contacts

if that works try it on the new phone.

if it was an android smart phone you would just download your google contacts over wifi and be done.

If you did backups on your old phone might be able to just do a restore on your new phone, I know that was all I had to do when I got a new one

Betting no on a flip phone.

Back when all my staff had them, they would have to take a few hours and enter them one by one.

Thats been a few years though, maybe the new ones have better tech.

If the phones run Android, you can transfer the contacts pretty easy.

No fancy phone here. A total by verizon flip phone. I guess it will have to be done manually.

There is also an app you can get from the playstore that will transfer all data

Bob I just got off the phone with Verizon. If you take both phones into a Verizon store, a tech there will be able to transfer the contact list from the old flip phone to the new flip phone. I explain to him that you bought the new phone at Walmart, and that it was a total Verizon. They assured me there would be no problem to transfer the contact list.

Should be able to take it back to walmart. There's a brand rep that should be there (usually after 11am) that can help you with those phones.

The rep at Walmart did it for me about a year ago, took her about 10 mins to transfer contacts and set up voicemail.

When I purchased the phone, some kid was working at the Walmart electronics dept., he had no clue what to do. He said he didn't think it could be done, it had to be done manually.

I just got back from the Verizon store 30 miles away. They transferred my contacts from 2 older phones for $30.00.

Took the one young guy 20 mins to try his luck, then he called the manager over and he did it in 5 mins.

At least I didn't have to sit around for a couple hours manually transferring all our contacts.

Thank you cmcf and all.
