Good luck to you all. I'd say set heavy, but apparently you can't do that.

Yep I am ready. One snare location and two conis and two duke #3s all ready to set. Bags are on location and slide cables in the water. Not much sign in the last two years but here goes. A few years ago I had this photo with 5 otters in it......jk

I have a friend that lives near the river where there's an island. He has seen 4 or 5 otters playing together on the down stream side. Too far away for picture though.
Personally i've got 2 330's & 3 #4 DLS ready. There's a trail between two vacant beaver ponds & 4 otter toilets that i'm going to set up.
If the PGC ever lets us take more otters i would love to use all bodygrips like PAskinner suggested

I tagged one last year. I scouted out the same area a few weeks ago, when we had snow. Lots of sign.

Well two traps set off on beaver. I guess just like mink trapping, you have to knock down the rats population before you get mink. Beaver are in the way of otter the same way maybe. We will see. Oh lets see your photo guys......jk

I finally got one 2 years ago. Last year they went through the week before the season and the week after the season. That’s otter trapping. This year I have 4 toilets set up. Took a walk through Thursday to make sure nothing had changed since early January and found sign. Set Saturday and there was fresh sign. Hope it’s still around.
Good luck to you all

Lucky you. you have sign, I used to have a lot of otters here. The last three years no toilets that are in my area where I can legally trap and VERY little sign. But there is that little sign that I am setting for. Beavers are on boards. No desire to watch the game going to bed......jk

I planned ahead this year. Tried to clean out as many beavers and muskrats before otter season. Last several years have had hot otter sign during season but sets plugged up with non targets. Got one this year Just over 16 pounds
