49ers oh my.

49ers oh my. - 02/13/24 01:29 AM

I went to bed at half time. I missed a lot. After watching sports channels and seen all the errors. The 49ers lost that game to errors. The Chiefs weren't the better team. Wow, what a disappointment.

Go Pack Go!!!!

Heard a stat this morning that Shanahan has been on the loosing side of super bowl halftime comebacks three times, being outscored by roughly 50 pts in the second half

I watched the whole game and watched many replays today, the Chiefs were the better team yesterday and the score proved it. laugh

Yep one game playoffs boil down to the best team that day and in OT the miners D went flat after a couple plays

Looked like the Vikings. Sadly.
San Fran did great until KC figured out how to stop McCafry. Once he was stopped there wasn’t much of an adjustment nor any real creativity in the passing options. Also once the McCafrey threat was tamed Purdy was ravaged in what should have been the pocket. Sound familiar Viking fans?

KC coaches made great adjustments in a tough game, San Fran did not but players nearly pulled it off. San Fran should have won.

Think shanahan stopped McCafry. Started passing. Even Tony romo kept screaming run the ball
MCcafry fumble on first drive lost that game. Chiefs were beat and didn’t know what to do from the giddy up. That put a stop to uncle Mo

Wonder what would have happened if the Chiefs running back wouldn't have fumbled it in the red zone

Don't forget penalties too...crucial to killing good offensive dives.

49ers special teams botched that game.

Re: 49ers oh my. - 02/13/24 10:59 AM

The play I think you are referring to was just a freak bounce of the ball. It hit the blocker on the heel and at that point mccloud had to try to recover it

I predicted that!

If Belechik was coaching the 49ers ...they would have won. Shanahan is Bud Grant and Marv Levys offspring

This is Tuesday, you Monday morning quarterbacks are too late. The best team in the NFL is back to back superbowl champions.

What I found startling was some 49er players admitting to not knowing the new playoff rules on overtime...

Chiefs won their last 8 games. They peaked at the right time.
They were the best when it mattered most.

Chiefs defense put Purdy on his can when it counted and Mahomes pit it in the end zone when mattered.

Best team won.

Re: 49ers oh my. - 02/13/24 07:27 PM

What happened to the great ALL PRO tight end Kittle. He didn’t even show up for the game did he. Travis Swift showed up and the light in the loafers SAN FRAN defense couldn’t stop him after he plumbed up the coach. Kittle was supposed to tear up mahomes defense along with the great Deboe Samuel. Them state school rejects don’t have enough lead in their pencils to play against a real defense. Purdy missed 3 touchdown throws due to Chris Jones slapping him around all day. The better won that day. When your grinding a team up like they did in the first half and can only manage to score 10 points, you’re team has got some serious issues. Quit your whining and face reality.

Except the Vikings beat SF during the regular season. Might not have if McCaffrey had been healthy and played though.

Re: 49ers oh my. - 02/14/24 12:33 AM

The irony of the game was when the overtime rules got changed last year because the buffalo fans got all but hurt when the Chiefs beat them in overtime and they didn’t get to possess the ball. Same thing happened to the Chiefs a year or two before when they played New England and didn’t get to possess the ball. If the rules weren’t changed in this game San Fran would have probably won.
But it don’t matter how you try to beat the Prairie Punk, hek make him spot you points, change the rules again, but when it gets down to the money games you better bring your best game to beat them.

The Chiefs never played New England in the Super Bowl.

Re: 49ers oh my. - 02/14/24 02:11 AM

And they never played buffalo in the Super Bowl either. They are in the AFL division all three of them. They played each other in the playoffs and that was when the one possession games took place. Patriots and Chiefs the first time and Bill’s and Chiefs the second time After that game is when the buffalo fans went to crying and they changed the rules. But no matter, keep changing them till you can beat him. Be sure and tell Shanohan so he understands how the rules work though. He aught to get run off for taking the ball first under the buffalo rule change like he did. What an idiot

Re: 49ers oh my. - 02/14/24 02:23 AM

^^[^^ you are rite about him screwing that call up and taking the ball first he should have seen if his defense could have came up with a stop ….. probably wouldn’t have mattered though mahommes wasn’t gonna lose in overtime …
